Latest Highlights

Life 9:00 pm  ET

Is it the handcuffs? When a drug dealer and an elementary-school teacher are found dead in a bad part of town, it looks like a typical drug deal gone bad. But the investigation takes a turn when Crews and Reese (Damian Lewis, Sarah Shahi) discover the dead teacher was a woman who exclusively dated cops -- a "badge bunny." Could the killer be one of their own? Then Crews and Jennifer (Jennifer Siebel) address their complex relationship.

The Real George Washington 9:00 pm  ET

Next they'll be telling us he didn't really chop down that cherry tree. This new special is packed with surprising facts about the first president, including his career as a spy. Did you know this man revered as a great general lost more battles than he won? As for those wooden teeth -- nah. His dentures were made of ivory, cow and human choppers. Forensics experts re-create Washington's face as it really looked as opposed to the way painters portrayed him.

The Tenth Circle 9:00 pm  ET

Lifetime movies always work better when they're based on best-selling novels rather than being "inspired by actual events." Case in point: this adaptation of Jodi Picoult's tale of a family rocked by tragedy. The rape of a 14-year-old girl (Britt Robertson) and the subsequent suicide of the accused (Jamie Johnston) uncovers some unsavory secrets in the girl's family. Kelly Preston and Ron Eldard play her parents.

The Tin Star 6:15 pm  ET

The nervous energy and youthfulness of Anthony Perkins work well for him in this 1957 Western classic about an acting sheriff who steps into the job following his boss's murder. He can use all the help he can get -- and it arrives mainly in the form of a bounty hunter (Henry Fonda) who coaches him for an inevitable showdown with a murderer (Neville Brand). Co-stars include Lee Van Cleef ("The Good, the Bad and the Ugly").

Knight Rider 8:00 pm  ET

We like our 20s folded and pressed. Mike (Justin Bruening) goes under cover in Las Vegas to bust a money-laundering operation. When Billy (Paul Campbell) and KITT (voice of Val Kilmer) join him on the mission, Billy sparks a romantic adventure of his own. Somebody call ahead to the Little White Chapel! Then Dr. Graiman (Bruce Davison) locks horns with an old rival and former flame who comes to assess how "green" the KITT Cave is.

Monarchy: The Royal Family at Work 8:00 pm  ET

The miniseries continues with a look inside the royal family's headquarters, Buckingham Palace. Its 650 rooms form the nerve center for the British monarchy. From it the queen directs the business of the royal family, entertains heads of state and conducts her private life. We also follow the queen on her annual move to the royal family's Scottish estate, Balmoral.

Criminal Minds 9:00 pm  ET

Well, this is a bit of a conundrum. This week Rossi (Joe Mantegna) and the team must try to solve a case in reverse when a self-confessed serial killer turns himself in, sending them on a massive manhunt to find his latest victims before it is too late. That's right, the murderer's victims are still alive. Jason Alexander ("Seinfeld"), Ali Landry ("Eve") and Nicholas Brendon ("Buffy the Vampire Slayer") guest star.

Varsity Blues 9:00 pm  ET

James Van Der Beek scored a box-office hit with this MTV-produced 1999 drama, but that was largely because he was riding a wave of popularity from "Dawson's Creek," since the movie is below average at best. He plays a high-school football player who gets his big break. He's designated to take over as the team's leader when the quarterback is sidelined by an injury, but he courts trouble by rebelling against the coach (Jon Voight).

A Star Is Born 9:45 pm  ET

One of the most durable plots in movie history had any early workout in director William A. Wellman's Oscar-winning 1937 classic. Janet Gaynor plays Esther Blodgett, a waitress who gets an unexpected shot at stardom when she catches the eye of hard-drinking actor Norman Maine (Fredric March), who paves the way to fame for her. Their eventual marriage suffers as her popularity soars while his plunges. Adolphe Menjou co-stars.

CSI: NY 10:00 pm  ET

Gives a whole new meaning to "Mac attack." In this new episode -- the series' 100th -- someone is killing people named Mac Taylor all over the city. Nailing down the killer's M.O. is going to be difficult, as every dead Mac is killed in a different way. But the CSI team had better solve this one quickly, before its own Mac Taylor (Gary Sinise) becomes a casualty. A new detective (Julia Ormond) steps in to assist. Melina Kanakaredes also stars.

UFO Hunters 10:00 pm  ET

What's that, Lassie? E.T.'s down the well? This new episode revisits one of the oldest reported UFO cases, from 1897. That's when people in Aurora, Texas, reportedly saw a strange craft crash into a windmill, found and buried an alien body, and dumped the crash debris down a well. When the locals began suffering from rheumatoid arthritis and skin lesions decades later, they blamed the well. The UFO Hunters arrive to investigate.
